Inspiring Change to Achieve Your Potential
Personal Mission Statement: To inspire, encourage, and empower others to achieve their potential, embrace their passion, and live their purpose through God’s truth and love.

Mike Reis is an author, inspirational speaker, substance abuse counselor, interventionist, and master certified addiction coach.   Most recently Mike was the Chief Operating Officer at Ascension Holistic Health before leaving to open DecisionPoint Wellness Center in Alpharetta, GA. DecisionPoint is dedicated to implementing cutting-edge addiction wellness programs and services within the holistic spectrum of healing the mind, body and spirit using natural and integrative methods.

Mike is passionate about working with adults and families that struggle with substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. He is effective in working with clients from every walk of life, but Mike is an expert at working with high-functioning addicts like executives, professionals, college students, teachers, first responders, athletes, and entertainers. As a former executive himself who won his 35 year battle against alcoholism, he is uniquely qualified to understand and serve the special needs of his clients. Mike’s “total person” approach addresses all aspects of his client’s life to ensure long-term recovery success.

Prior to dedicating his life to helping others fight the disease of addiction, Mike enjoyed a hugely successful career in executive sales and management with some of the world’s largest companies and best known brands like Hallmark Cards, PepsiCo, and ConAgra Foods. Mike graduated with honors from Georgia State University with a B.A. in liberal arts and business. He is clinically trained as an addiction counselor, and Mike is certified as an anger management specialist. He is a member of the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA), the Association of Addiction Professionals (NAADAC), and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

Mike’s son is NFL Super Bowl XLIV hero, champion and former New Orleans Saints safety Chris Reis, who became a part of football history when he recovered the onside kick at the beginning of the second half of the game, which is credited for altering the mood—and the course—of the entire game itself. Mike and Chris co-authored the book Recovery of a Lifetime: The Inspirational Journey of a Super Bowl Hero Son and His Father’s Battle Against Multiple Addictions. It was that play and the principles of how Chris led his life off the field that inspired Mike to make a recovery of his own. Mike tells all about his dark and painful past to give others hope and to inspire them to get the help they need. By sharing his story, Mike wants to help break the stigma of addiction.

Mike works closely with NAD patients by providing concierge coaching and counseling services for 90 days following NTR treatment. These services are designed to meet the specific needs of the client in early recovery which gives them the best chance for long term success. These services include 16 hours of addiction coaching and counseling, development of a strategic recovery plan or relapse prevention plan as needed, same day appointments for local patients, and 24/7 access to Mike via text, email, phone or Skype.
