Brain Health: What are Signs of Burnout?

Burnout affects the biochemistry of the brain, which is why NTR Brain Restoration has shown successful in addressing it.Burnout can occur from a wide variety of life and career choices. It happens when the demands of your life outweigh the resources you have to be able to handle the stresses in your life. Exhaustion from years of stressful living, brings you to the point of feeling foggy, overwhelmed by life, and lacking enthusiasm towards things you were once passionate about.

Crazy schedules and stress put a person at risk for not living balanced and not practicing self-care. Both of which put a person at risk for burnout. I’ve found type A personalities to be especially susceptible. And burnout doesn’t just pose a threat to your work performance, it can also be damaging to your health, relationships, and your overall happiness.

Burnout affects the biochemistry of the brain, which is why NTR Brain Restoration has shown successful in addressing it. It damages the neuro-receptor systems of the brain and requires physiological attention. By using an IV protocol of natural-occurring amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and an important cofactor, the brain is given what it needs to enable repair and rebalance its chemistry. Coaching or therapy is also important to gain the psychological tools necessary for healthy living.

Here are some signs that you may being experiencing burnout:

  • Exhaustion. Feeling tired all of the time is a sign of burnout. It’s the feeling of being completely spent and it can be emotional, mental or physical.
  • Lack of Motivation. Feeling unenthusiastic about something you were once passionate about is a sign of burnout. You might also feel a general dissatisfaction with your work and life. Some people also describe it as the feeling of being stuck.
  • Foggy thinking. Burnout leads us to have difficulty concentrating and remembering things.
  • Problems at work and home. Burnout can affect both your job performance and your relationships with coworkers, family and friends. Are you more withdrawn than usual? More frustrated or negative? Maybe more argumentative?
  • Turning to unhealthy coping skills. When someone is stressed for a long period of time they might find themselves coping in unhealthy ways, such as self-medicating with drugs, alcohol, prescription drugs, eating a poor diet and not exercising.
  • No down time. Be sure to also look at how much down time you have away from work. Never stepping away from your projects perpetuates stress.
  • Health problems. Prolonged stress can lead to health problems such as addiction, digestive issues, depression and anxiety, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and more.
