“I have been trying to get sober for seventeen years. I am 47 and first checked myself into a treatment center at age 30 for alcoholism. I was able to stay sober for eight years by attending AA meetings, etc. However, during those 8 years I battled cravings on a very regular basis. I went through a bad divorce and finally gave in to the cravings and had a very bad relapse. My disease had progressed, even though I had those years of sobriety.
Since then I have done everything I knew to do to try and get sober again. I was in and out of treatment centers (seven), saw an addiction specialist, psychiatrists, therapists, went to AA, tried anti-craving drugs, etc. I just continued to relapse and could not stay sober due to the cravings.
I finally was introduced to ExecuCare by a new therapist who specializes in addiction. I was very skeptical at first because I could not understand why, after all these years of battling my disease, I had never heard of it. However, I had hit my bottom and I was desperate. I figured I had nothing to lose. By day six of my treatment my cravings were gone. Not only were my cravings gone, but I felt so much better mentally and physically. My head is clear, and I have more energy. I am motivated, and my cravings are gone! I walked into ExecuCare not wanting to live, and I am walking out with a lot of hope!”
